From lexicographaster < lexicographer + the pejorative suffix -aster (“one who is inferior at or falsely claims a role”).
Lexicographer derives from French lexicographe + -er, from Ancient Greek λεξικός (lexikós, “of words”) + γράφω (gráphō, “to write”).
